The concept of hot gas defrost is nothing new in the refrigeration industry.  A common misconception is that this cannot be achieved with Freon systems and is reserved for Ammonia systems. 

At Lutz Refrigeration we can offer hot gas defrost on Freon systems ranging from 30 Cubic meter right up to 20 000 Cubic meter freezers.  

We strongly recommend that all freezers should go this route to make the defrost process far more effective and reliable.
